The Department for Education (DfE) is continuing to provide grant funding to further education (FE) providers to support the skill development of mentors.
Cognition Learning Group (CLG) is proud to be working with the DfE to offer the two following grant opportunities:
Teacher Mentoring Programme (TMP)
The TMP offers two professional development courses – for ‘New’ and ‘Advanced’ mentors.
FE providers enrolled on TMP can claim grants of up to £3,300 per mentor (for a maximum of 10 mentors, or more within the funding maximum, meaning a total grant of £33,000).
This grant funding has been designed to cover the remission costs for the mentees receiving mentoring and mentors undertaking the training courses.

Mentoring Network Grant
This is a new grant opportunity, designed to link FE providers together and foster an empowering mentoring culture throughout the FE sector.
Grants of up to £5000 are available which you can use in a variety of ways – with the main aim of ‘sharing learning’.
