Mentors

Did you know? – Research shows that mentoring is one of the most effective forms of CPD for Further Education (FE) staff.

Whether you’re new to mentoring, already an experienced mentor, or simply looking to rehone your mentoring skills, we welcome you to explore our mentoring resources and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities. They’re tailor-made for mentors (or mentors in the making) like you.

For mentoring to truly be powerful, practitioners need to know how to apply their mentoring skills effectively. That’s why we’ve designed a specific set of resources to help anybody become a more confident and knowledgeable mentor.

If you have any questions or feedback about the resources or CPD opportunities available to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Teacher Mentoring Programme team by email at tmpenquiries@cognitioneducation.com.

FE mentoring framework and guides

Our FE mentoring framework and accompanying guide for mentors are a great place to start on your mentoring journey. The guide and the framework outline the essential practices for effective mentoring and coaching, helping you better understand how to be an effective mentor to your mentees.

You have on-demand access to these resources, meaning you can take your time to read through them and keep coming back to read more. We recommend saving the docs to your favourites or printing them off so you have them when you need them.
